🌿 Plant Description & Harvesting
Cymbopogon nardus is a tall, clumping perennial grass belonging to the Poaceae family. The essential oil is extracted from the fresh grass blades, which are harvested and processed promptly to preserve their aromatic and insect-repellent compounds.
🔥 Extraction Method
Citronella Essential Oil is obtained by steam distillation of freshly cut grass. This method preserves the oil’s characteristic citronellal and geraniol content, which are responsible for its repellent and aromatic properties.
