🌱 Plant Description & Raw Material
Cymbopogon flexuosus is a tall, aromatic grass, growing 1.5–2 meters high. The oil is concentrated in the leaves and stems, with yield and quality influenced by soil, climate, harvesting time, and distillation efficiency.
🔥 Extraction Method
Lemongrass Oil is extracted by steam distillation of freshly harvested leaves. The plant material is chopped to increase surface area for optimal oil recovery. The oil is separated from hydrosol and collected in pure form.
